active filter

hii,


i have tried some patches for pppd but failed to make active filter
option work with inbound and out bound also working perfectly. can any
one suggest libpcap and pppd versions and patches which will work in
sync perfectly ...it would be great if you can specify the location of
those packages along with their patches if any.

is there any source other than man page and rfc where i can understand
the code of pppd and libpcap.

The book "PPP Design, Implementation, and Debugging" includes some basic
information about pppd. And there are many around who can answer
specific questions about it. But if you're interested in the code,
there's not much substitute for reading it.
