Hi,

I have airtel broadband connection at my home. can someone explain
me how it connects with Private network via public network?

You haven't explained what software you're using, but the typical
answer is that the broadband connection itself simply provides
Internet connectivity, and doesn't create the private network.

To create the private network, you run some other software that
communicates over the Internet and establishes a secure point-to-point
tunnel of some sort. This might be something like L2TP with IPsec
protection, or it might be something else.

To the operating system, that tunnel looks like just another network
interface, and the software you're running configures the OS so that
packets from ordinary applications are sent out through the tunnel
first.
