Hi..

I have 2 machines running Linux Fedora Core 4 and i had set up
both the machines to communicate over SLIP interface. Now I am
planning to use HDLC instead of SLIP. Is it possible to setup HDLC
over ttyS0 on Linux FC 4??

Thanks & Regards,
Manesh

Unless your hardware happens to support synchronous mode operation
(most PC hardware does _not_), it's not going to be possible at all.

If the hardware does support sync mode, and you really want Cisco's
old proprietary HDLC instead of PPP, then you'll need something that
runs that old protocol. The syncppp drivers in Linux are supposed to
be able to do thus, but I've never used it.

Good luck ...
